Second: if you look very very closely at the center of the bowl there is a raised ridge with a crevice. Although barely visible and shallow it does make the bowl not suitable for holding sticky food but can be a fine popcorn, fruit or display bowl. This may not bother you and you may like the peculiar nature- enjoy the savings!
